Akzidenz happen

 

Objective
Promote the typeface Akzidenz Grotesk to potential users, like designers and creative agencies in an appealing way that shows the strength of the typeface. 

Approach

I chose to promote Akzidenz Grotesk through social media platforms with a motion graphics animation because I’m targeting a young audience that uses these platforms more than any other way of communication. I introduced to them an old, yet very  important, typeface that is not as popular as it once was and as it should be.

The theme of this video is ‘timelessness’, which describes how Akzidenz Grotesk never goes out of style no matter the era it’s in and the new technology available. Each part of the animation shows the typeface in a layout from a different time period (old to new), showing off its qualities that differentiate this typeface from other old and new ones.
